Just, imagine betraying your friends for an immensely powerful ancient artifact, realizing too late that you made a mistake when said artifact takes control of you, waking up powerless after barely surviving, fighting your way through basically purgatory and very slowly regaining your powers, battling the remains of that artifact after it maliciously fuses with another powerful artifact, personally seeing to it that the artifact is gone for good...

...and after making it up to your friends again and this time helping them fight off a galactic threat, suddenly you're faced with the thing again, no matter how temporarily.

Especially in the Soul Melter difficulties, where it summons not only a full Master Crown instead of just a silhouette, but also multiple.
